Admission Criteria for B.Sc Nursing

• The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
• Minimum education:
  • 10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.
• Student shall be medically fit. Medical fitness certificate shall be obtained from the authorized physician.
• Students appearing in 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% marks.
• Student shall be admitted once in a year.

Eligibility Criteria (BFUHS, Faridkot)

Passed in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/BC) and English as a compulsory subject or an equivalent qualification.

Entrance/Selection test

• Admission to this course is done through PPMET Examination conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot for which a centralized counseling is held for every nursing college of Punjab.
• As per Government Notification No. 5/48/2007-3HB3/1982 dated 31/3/2008 issued by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, the institute has following distribution of seats.
• 1. The distribution of seats in private medical institutes would be:-
     1. Government quota seats 50%
     2. Management quota seats 50% (including Foreign Indian Students (N.R.I) and out of state quota)
  2. The government and management quota seats would be filled up by the admission committee appointed by the Government on the basis of merit in PPMET exam conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Science.

(Note: The backward class certificate must be as per the latest instructions of the Government of Punjab, mentioning the income as laid down by Govt. of Punjab from time to time.)
Physically handicapped	3%
Migrants from Jammu & Kashmir due to terrorist violence	1%
